My all time Favorite restruant in Alice. When ever I have out of town guest I take them to El Charro and they are very impressed! For about $10 (including a tip) a person, one can leave with a stuffed belly! My "usual" with a drink is about $6.50 and it's alot of GOOD food for less than a fast food drive through. I'd admit it's NOT the fanciest place in the world, but there is ample parking, "leg room" at the tables, and FANTASTIC food at a GREAT price. I have not had a bad experience here yet. Only advice: Most of the wait staff barely speak english. So for non-spanish speakers point at what you want on the menu or make such you have uno amigo que habla espa??ol; and don't let your crazy out of state relatives try to ask a bunch of useless questions about what's in the food or your waitress might hide from you the rest of the meal...ok, maybe that was a bad experience, but I don't blame her; what's once out of the 100's of time I've eaten there. Oh I forgot, the tortillas are to DIE FOR!!! THEY"RE HUGE!! And home made style. I recently discovered they make breakfast too. The BEST taqueros with the huge tortillas! We started our new tradition of El Charro Sunday mornings before church. Tip: Try not to get food drips on your Sunday Best. It's easy to forget manners with food so delicioso!!
